LYFD is Currently Hosting an Emergency Medical Responder Course in partnership with Atascocita Volunteer Fire Department along with Huffman Fire Department. 18 Students will be learning The Fundamentals of Patient Assessment, Obtaining Vital Signs, Hemmorhage Control, Oxygen Administration, Cardiac Arrest Management, Medical Emergencies and Traumatic Injuries. The Course is 6 weeks long and allows the students the opportunity to become National Registered EMRs and to become certified by the Texas Department of State and Health Services as Emergency Care Attendants.(ECA).
